Third Era MD: Creating Your Health with Dr. Charles Whitney” Airs Every Monday at 9:00 AM

Washington Crossing, PA – November 12, 2013 – Dr. Charles Whitney is now hosting a weekly medical talk show on WBCB 1490 AM, which serves the Philadelphia suburb of Bucks County.

Dr. Whitney who is double board-certified in family medicine and sports medicine, owns Revolutionary Health Services, a full-time direct primary care (DPC) medical practice in Washington Crossing, PA. A DPC medical practice provides highly-personalized care that is not limited by insurance restrictions because the doctor charges an affordable monthly fee instead of depending on insurance reimbursement.

Airing every Monday morning at 9:00, “Third Era MD: Creating Your Health with Dr. Charles Whitney,” is co-hosted by WBCB morning drive personality Jim Foxwell, and examines the topics, tips and trends that can help local radio listeners, as well as national streaming audio listeners (www.WBCB1490.com) take charge of their health with the ultimate goal of preventing illness.

According to Dr. Whitney, “Healthcare in America has become too focused on ‘sick care’. We pay far
too much attention and money on treating preventable chronic illnesses. My primary goal is to help people take charge of their health, prevent illness and enjoy longer lives that are healthy, active, and prescription-free for as long as possible. This radio program is enabling me to empower and educate far more people than I can possibly see in my office.”

“We’re very excited to have Dr. Whitney join the WBCB line-up,” said program director Matt Mirro. “He is well-regarded by both the listener and medical communities. We’re all learning a lot about taking care of our most valuable possession – our health.”

Dr. Whitney has distinguished himself on both the national and local levels. He is the former vice president of the American Academy of Private Physicians (AAPP), a nonprofit organization founded in 2003 for the purpose of supporting and fueling the growth of medical practices that provide personalized concierge medicine care.

In 2013 he was named one of America’s “Top Docs” in direct primary care by the editors of Concierge Medicine Today. He has also been published in many leading medical and dental journals and has been a featured speaker at several medical and dental events.

Dr. Whitney and his Third Era Direct practice, Revolutionary Health Services have been featured often in Philadelphia-area media. Most recently, he was named “One of the Best of Bucks” by the Bucks County Courier Times, a major daily newspaper serving the Philadelphia suburbs.

Dr. Whitney expresses his enlightened views on mouth-body health connection in the documentary, “Say Ahh! The Cavity in Healthcare,” which exposes the true cost of ignoring oral inflammation and infections, which an estimated 80% of Americans have.   He’s assumed the lead role to bridge the chasm between medicine and dentistry.
